How to Become an Auditor

ABOUT THIS COURSE

While some skills may come more easily to some people than others, healthcare auditors must be developed. Even the most talented healthcare staff won’t be successful if he or she is expected to jump into an audit role unprepared. When new auditors struggle, it is often a result of underdevelopment, not lack of talent or potential. And new auditor development must start long before a staff is poised to step into a new job! Having a process in place to develop new auditors and train them as they transition into their new roles ensures not only the success of the auditor, but of the auditing process.

This course provides an intensive conceptual about auditing in Healthcare. It focuses on concepts and applications related to Healthcare auditors’ professional responsibilities and the audit process including assessment and reporting. In this course, participants anticipate engaging in Analyze of a process, Formulating a Standard and setting the evaluation criteria for the standard. These hands-on activities improve the critical thinking and thoughtful communication, decision processes, and deliverables for the participants. Additionally, participant learn how to use advanced tools like Flowchart and Fishbone.
